When to go
October to March, classically.
October to March is the classic window: Rajasthan dry and bright, Kerala at its gentlest. April and May belong to the tigers, when the parks dry out and sightings peak. The monsoon closes Ranthambore and soaks the plains, but it is when Ladakh opens. We like the shoulder months: quieter, and often better in the palaces.
Who it suits
First-timers who want the icons handled properly, and returners who want the country beneath them.
None of what follows is a package. Each journey is a worked example: built once, for real travellers, to the same standard we hold ourselves to everywhere. Yours is built again, from scratch.
