Two monsoons mean somewhere is always in season. December to April for the south coast and the hill country; from May the island turns, and Gal Oya, Trincomalee and the east come into their own. February is the safest single month, and the one we book first.
Who it suits
A single unhurried week: honeymoons, small families, anyone allergic to long transfers.
